A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE TEAPOT AND A COVER AND A TEA BOWL
YONGZHENG 1723-35
The teapot painted on each side with a cockerel standing on rocks, with a pink band of diaper to the shoulder, the cover with a floral spray, the tea bowl with two panels depicting figures by pagodas encircled with gilt flowers on a bianco-sopra-bianco floral ground, both with paper collection labels, the teapot with a hand written label for the Holt collection, 16cm. (3)
Provenance: the bowl purchased from Sydney L Moss on 14th December 1954 for £500, a copy of the original invoice is available.
