A LARGE CHINESE BLANC DE CHINE MODEL OF GUANYIN

18TH/19TH CENTURY

Seated, wearing flowing robes, her eyes downcast, adorned with beaded necklaces forming a cross at her chest, her hair arranged in a tall chignon covered with a veil, with a child holding a lotus bud on her lap, all raised on a tall throne, 36cm.

Provenance: from the Annette Worsley-Taylor family collection, acquired no later than the early 20th century and thence by descent.
