A JAPANESE CLOISONNE ENAMEL INCENSE BURNER AND COVER, KORO
MEIJI 1868-1912
Of compressed ovoid form, the body decorated with lappets containing stylised phoenix and dragons, the shoulder with a band of ho-o birds amongst karakusa scrolls and flowerheads, the neck with further flowerheads and geometrical patterns, the lid possibly associated with butterflies and flowers, unmarked but in the style of Honda Yosaburo of Kyoto, together with a fitted wood stand, 26cm overall.
