Comprising: a water bowl, a food container and a cover also used as a tray, all of hexagonal shape. The two vessels set with angular C-shaped jade handles, the body incised with a bird on a branch of a willow tree and a spray of bamboo to one side, and inscribed with two poems by Zhu Shi Mei to the reverse, 18cm. Zhu Shi Mei (1796-1850) was active across the Jiaqing and Daoguang periods and was recorded as the first person to make pewter- encased teapots.
