A rare Yixing teapot and cover with warming stand 18th / 19th century, both enamelled in two shades of blue with butterflies in flight amongst flowering and fruiting branches, the warmer pierced with the eight trigrams, 27cm. (3) Provenance: the Arthur J Harris collection. Illustrated: Patrice Valfré, Yixing Teapots for Europe, no.98. Exhibited: Yixing, L'Art de la Theiere Pourpre, Royal Brussels Museum, April - September 2001. A similar teapot is in the collection of the Musée Guimet, Paris.
