A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE BOWL

SIX CHARACTER QIANLONG MARK AND OF THE PERIOD 1736-95

The gently flared body painted with stylized foliate medallions of peony, lotus and other flowers, encircled by continuous foliate scrolls, all above a band of flaring lappets, the interior with a single flowerhead amongst leaves within a circular double ring, raised on a five-legged hardwood stand carved with leaf lappets, 19.9cm. (2)

Provenance: the collection of Mr and Mrs Basil Drewe, and thence by descent.
