Inlaid with a variety of soapstone and bone, with the eighteen luohan arranged in groups or individually, in an extensive landscape, the lower panels decorated with fruit, birds and flowers, the reverse painted with birds amidst foliage and antique vases 193cm x 180cm.
Provenance: the collection of Vice-Admiral Reginald Vesey Holt, C.B., D.S.O., M.V.O. (1884-1957), and thence by descent.
