TWO CHINESE YIXING TEAPOTS AND COVERS

20TH CENTURY

One decorated with ginkgo nuts and branches to the ovoid body, the base with an artist's seal reading Wu Yayi Zhi, the leaf-shaped cover with two seals reading Wu and Yayi, the other lobed teapot with sprays of blossoming prunus to the sides, the spout, handle and knop formed as the branches, the cover with two seal marks, 17.5cm and 14.7cm. (4)

Provenance: from the collection of the late Michael Sherrard QC CBE (1928-2012), acquired prior to 2000.
