A CHINESE IMPERIAL EDICT
QIANLONG, DATED 1752
Written on silk woven with clouds, mounted as a hand scroll, the text arranged in kaishu and Manchurian in standard form reading from right to left, opening with a character title feng tian gao ming flanked by a pair of dragons, dated 25th of the 11th month in 1752, 281cm x 29.5cm.
Provenance: formerly from a private collection, purchased in Tokyo in the 1940s.
