A Chinese reverse glass painting 18th century, painted with two long-tailed exotic birds perched on a flowering peony branch, which grows from rockwork, all in shades of orange, brown and black with gilt details on a mirrored ground, the hardwood frame carved with scrolls, wear and damage to the frame, 89cm x 58cm. Provenance: property of a Lady, acquired in Beijing c.1960.
