EDO OR MEIJI, 19TH CENTURY
The rectangular writing box and inner tray decorated in gold, silver and black lacquer with many cranes in a mountainous river landscape, the reverse of the lid with two minogame; the rectangular tray embellished with figures in a garden, and the octagonal dish with two seals depicted in relief, one topped with a shishi, the other on its side revealing the characters underneath, 23.3cm max. (5)
