TWO JAPANESE LACQUERED WOOD CABINETS
PROBABLY MOMOYAMA/EDO PERIOD, 17TH/18TH CENTURY
Both with a black lacquer surface, the tallest with a hinged door fitted with a lockplate opening to reveal six drawers of various sizes, with remnants of floral patterns in gold lacquer; the other with a drop-front door and with traces of gold lacquer and mother of pearl decoration, 39cm x 34cm x 44cm and 24cm x 40.5cm x 34.5cm respectively.
