The portable shrine with typical curved doors opening to reveal a figure of Buddha Shakyamuni on an elaborate throne; together with a bronze seated figure of Budda Nyorai and a reticulated plaque depicting a multi-armed bodhisattva, the enlightened being holding many sacred objects and raised on a lotus throne with curling tendrils, the surface with traces of gilt, 11.3cm max. (3)
