TWO JAPANESE CAST-IRON TETSUBIN AND COVERS
MEIJI ERA, 19TH/20TH CENTURY

One decorated with a vase of lotus leaves to one side and three characters to the reverse; the other with a monk praying by crashing waves, his robes billowing around him, the other side with a fan-shaped panel of calligraphy and a crab amongst lotus underneath it; the bail handle inlaid with a flower vase; both covers signed Ryubundo zo, 21cm and 24.5cm respectively.
