A LARGE JAPANESE BRONZE ARCHAISTIC VASE AND A JARDINIERE
MEIJI ERA, 19TH/20TH CENTURY
The tall neck issuing from the squat body and with elephant-head handles, the surface embellished with taotie masks, a parcel-gilt band of key fret and other archaistic patterns, the base with a four-character mark; the circular jardinière with a band of flowerheads and two lion masks suspending loose rings; 61.5cm and 27.5cm respectively.
