A RARE CHINESE BLANC DE CHINE FIGURE ON A STAND
17TH CENTURY

Possibly depicting Dong Fangshuo, depicted standing on an oval base decorated with scrolling patterns; he wears long flowing robes billowing in the wind; his right arm is raised and he holds a stolen Peach of Immortality in his left hand; a paper label to the back reading 'OCS 2009, THE WORLD OF MONOCHROMES, NO.261'; together with an elaborate wood stand carved as a rocky outcrop with mushrooms and waves below, 41cm. (2)
