Depicting two horse riders, possibly Lakshmana and Rama, dressed in courtly attire as they encounter a dancing maiden wearing a flowing sari, the scene painted with niryas kalpa against a bright red ground, framed by bands of floral scrolls on a white and a yellow ground respectively, 41.8cm x 82cm.
Provenance: from the collection of an aristocratic Spanish family.
