A rare Chinese pale celadon jade perfume holder

A rare Chinese pale celadon jade perfume holder, Qianlong 1736-95. The reticulated cylindrical body with green jade fittings to each end, the body deeply carved with two small figures walking in a mountainous rocky landscape, with a further figure beneath a pine tree and a pagoda to the reverse, the borders with key fret bands, 19cm. Provenance: an English private collection, purchased Godmersham Park sale, Christie's 1983, lot 506. Cf.
