A Fine Chinese Spinach-Green Jade Tripod Censer and Cover

A Fine Chinese Spinach-Green Jade Tripod Censer and Cover, Qing dynasty, Qianlong Period 1736-95, 17cm across, 11cm high. The circular body carved with tiers of chrysanthemum petals, the border with a key fret band, the sides with flared handles, the three feet are fringed by further chrysanthemum patterns, the stone shading from spinach green to black. Provenance From a private Scottish collection, purchased from John Sparks Ltd in the 1950s. Catalogue Note For related censers of chrysanthemum design, cf.
