A RARE MONGOLIAN BRONZE CLOAK BUCKLE

13TH CENTURY

The circular open-work buckle with an interlocking continuous geometric design, all bordered by a herring bone band, 11.4cm.

Provenance: formerly in a private Russian collection, discovered in 1919 at a Mongol site in the village of Veliki-Ustyug.
