A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE SMALL BOWL AND SAUCER

YONGZHENG 1723-35

The saucer brightly enamelled to the interior with flowering sprays, two butterflies in flight above, the bowl with a single peony spray to the well, each decorated to the exterior with a vibrant pink glaze, 15.6cm. (2)

Provenance: from the collection of Anthony Du Boulay, purchased from Christie's, 1st November 1982, lot 230 for £190. Formerly the collection of Sir Anthony Hornby.
