A Chinese armorial cream jug c.1762, decorated with the arms of Baron Talbot with De Cardonell in pretence, the sides with sprays of pink roses, 10cm. Provenance: the Clifford Henderson collection. Purchased from Heirloom and Howard in 2000. William, 2nd Baron Talbot of Hensol was raised to an earldom in 1761. The title was merged with the Earls of Shrewsbury in 1849.
