A pair of Chinese coffee cups and a teabowl and saucer c.1769, the saucer decorated with the arms of Fitzroy, Duke of Grafton acolle with Fitzroy impaling Wrottesley, the cups and bowl with crests and flowers, the saucer restored, the teabowl with a faint hairline, 11.9cm max. (4) Provenance: the 10th Duke of Grafton sale, Puttick and Simpson, 1965. The Clifford Henderson collection. Augustus Henry, 3rd Duke of Grafton, was the great-grandson of King Charles II and Prime Minister of England between 1768 and 1770.
