A Chinese armorial small plate c.1795, the centre decorated with the arms of Annesley, for Earl Annesley, the rim enamelled with a grapevine garland in blue and gilt, 19.4cm. Provenance: the Clifford Henderson collection. Purchased from Sotheby's in 1975. The title Earl Annesley was created in August 1789 for Francis Annesley, 2nd Viscount Glerawly. The title continues today.
