A Chinese ivory basket and cover 18th century, delicately constructed with panels of flowers and pagoda scenes on a fine reticulated ground, raised on six short feet joined by pierced fretwork, some damages, the handle loose, 26.5cm. Contained in a damaged glazed box. (4) Cf. Chinese Ivories from the Shang to the Qing, p.182, no.256 for a related example in the National Museum of Denmark.
