A large Chinese bronze incense burner and cover 17th century, boldly cast as a standing Buddhist lion dog with its head turned to sinister, looking up and baring its teeth, a smaller lion dog clutching a brocade ball and forming the cover surmount, the body cast with flames, all raised on an elaborate hardwood stand carved with scrolls and lingzhi fungus, 40.5cm long.
