A Chinese bamboo prunus libation cup 18th century, imitating a rhinoceros horn example, with a silvered copper liner, the exterior naturalistically carved to simulate a tree trunk, around which branches blossom, the liner damaged, 16cm wide. Cf. L Tam, Chinese Bamboo Carving Part II, Hong Kong Museum of Art, p. 254 for a similar example.
