A Chinese celadon jade Three Friends of Winter vase 18th century, carved as two sections, one a pine trunk, the other prunus, each with gnarled branches of needles and blossoms, at the base a phoenix stands on rocks and on a lingzhi fungus, and with a leafy bamboo stem to the reverse, 12.5cm.
Provenance: from an important European private collection formed in the 19th century by a Russian nobleman and diplomat.
