A rare Chinese pale celadon jade carving of a lotus rhizome 18th century, former from four lobes around which leaves and flowers and a single seed pod are tied from one end, the stone with russet markings, raised on a wood stand, 16.5cm. (2) Provenance: formerly in a European private collection.
