Depicting an abstract scene of fishing boats and huts in a water landscape, the reverse inscribed: 'Singapore 1960 Exhibition, bought from the painter on his return from Borneo and Sarawak by Lieut. Commander David Joel, Royal Navy, in command of HMS Woolaston, Far Eastern Fleet, signed in Chinese but he added his name in English for me', framed and glazed, 94cm x 45cm.
