A RARE CHINESE YIXING KENDI AND COVER

KANGXI 1662-1722

The ovoid body rising to a long cylindrical neck, with a short dragon's head spout to one side, decorated all over with appliqués depicting sprays of prunus, magnolia and orchids, the shoulder and foot with ruyi-heads, a band of stylized acanthus leaves to the neckrim, unmarked, 18.7cm. (2)
