A Chinese dingyao bowl Song dynasty 960-1279 AD, the centre moulded with a medallion of four fish within a key fret band, all encircled by a wide border of flowerheads and foliage, the rim bound in copper, a hardwood stand, 25.2cm. (2)

Provenance: an English private collection. Purchased from John Sparks Ltd., 17th October 1945 for £140. The original invoice is available.
