A small rare Chinese Longquan celadon vase, zhiping Song dynasty 960-1279 AD, the pear-shaped body raised on a slightly tapering foot, the long cylindrical neck rising to a flared rim, decorated in a plain even glaze tending towards a kinuta-type, a paper label for Sir H. Ingram Collection, 14.6cm.

This vase was included in an inventory drawn up for Sir Herbert's estate by Bluett's in June 1958, and is clearly identified on a hand-written draft as '83 Celadon vase 5 3/4" £40'.
