A small Chinese jizhou-type hu-shaped vase Song dynasty 960-1279 AD, the globular body with a wide, gently flaring neckrim, incised to the shoulder with three concentric bands, decorated with an irregular yellow-brown glaze stopping short of the high splayed foot revealing the creamy body beneath, 13.3cm.

Provenance: the collection of Andrew Williams Esq., Oxfordshire.
