A rare pair of Chinese Imperial wall panels 19th century, each decorated in buffalo horn, carved in shallow relief with tall trees and leafy maple on small rocky islands, with flocks of small birds flying to roost in the treetops, all on a brown lacquer ground and mounted within zitan and hardwood frames, 99.5cm x 66cm overall.
