† A LARGE CHINESE CANTON 'RIVER SCENE' VASE

The ovoid body rising to a tall neck flanked by two handles formed as lion dogs and their young, all brightly painted with figures in boats and pavilions in a mountainous river landscape, the rim shaped as folded fabric, with areas of detail and the rim highlighted in gilt, 64cm.
