A PAIR OF CHINESE JADE ARCHAISTIC 'PHOENIX' VESSELS AND COVERS

LATE QING DYNASTY

Each carved as a mythical bird standing tall with its wings tucked at its sides and bearing a fierce expression, the heads forming the covers, all decorated with archaistic motifs, the stone a grey colour with russet inclusions, 14cm. (4)
