The hornbill bottles purchased from Sotheby & Co London, 31st March 1972, lots 473, 475 and 480, a copy of the invoice is available.

Comprising: three carved in hornbill, one as a cicada, another as a figural group, the third as a Daoist deity and a boy; a fourth snuff bottle carved in buffalo horn with brass mounts studded with coral, turquoise and agate beads, inscribed to the base.
