A good set of four Chinese Canton enamel dishes 18th century, each depicting figures engaged in various pursuits in pagodas, fenced gardens and beside rockwork, painted to the reverse with a large flower spray within a scrolling, fruiting vine to the rim, 16cm. (4)

Provenance: formerly the collection of Morris Marcus (d.1923), and then his daughter Miss I Marcus, both of Redhill, Surrey. Purchased by Gerald Mere, Christie, Manson & Woods, 6th December 1932, part lot 56, and thence by descent.
