A large and impressive Chinese silver table centrepiece c.1900, formed as four palm trees issuing from a vase, supporting a large fluted canopy, the elaborate embossed base with four scalloped salts supported on the tails of fabulous fish, the wide curved foot decorated with scaly dragons amidst cloud scrolls, and with a single cartouche containing a crest, two punch marks to one of the short feet which read Yi Chang, 42.5cm.
