A Chinese blue and white vase first half 17th century, the lobed body raised on a flared foot, painted in the kraak style with alternating panels of birds perched on foliage and scrolling foliate designs, the tall neck with a band of lotus, 24.5cm.

This form is probably taken from Middle Eastern metal work or glass.
