A Chinese white jade carving of a Mandarin duck 18th/19th century, crisply carved with finely defined plumage, holding a lotus flower in its beak and resting on a large lotus leaf, the stone with a few russet markings, 5.7cm.

Provenance: Gavin Astor, 2nd Baron Astor of Hever (1918-1984) and thence by descent.
