A good Chinese pale celadon and white jade carving of a recumbent deer 18th/19th century, with its head turned over its back, and with its mouth agape, the scrolling antlers resting on its neck, the legs tucked neatly beneath the body, the stone with mottled grey markings to the head and neck, a hardwood stand, 10cm. (2)

Provenance: an English private collection.
