A rare Chinese blue and white lotus bowl six character Kangxi mark and of the period 1662-1722, painted with a scrolling foliate design above bands of stiff leaves to the exterior, with a single central lotus flower amidst leaves and scrolls to the interior, encircled by five similar flowerheads joined by scrolling stalks, 19cm dia.

Provenance: from the collection of Luís Esteves Fernandes (1897-1988).
