A Chinese famille rose oval abstinence plaque 19th century, one side marked zhai jie in Chinese, the other with Manchu characters bolgomi karga, each panel within scrolling foliate lotus designs, 5.9cm.

Provenance: from the collection of Luís Esteves Fernandes (1897-1988).
