A rare Chinese Yixing pendant formed as a sage 19th century

A rare Chinese Yixing pendant formed as a sage 19th century, seated wearing elaborate dragon robes and holding a ruyi sceptre in one hand, his robes, headdress and the sceptre picked out with small lacquer tiles, a silk cord for suspension woven with endless knots, 5.9cm.

Provenance: from the collection of Luís Esteves Fernandes (1897-1988).
