A CHINESE SOAPSTONE SEAL QING DYNASTY OR LATER Carved from a honey-coloured stone in the form of a boulder, with seven sages in a mountainous landscape, a ten character inscription to the side, the seal face with twelve characters, 8cm. Cf. Classics of the Forbidden City, Imperial Seals of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, pp.214, 215 and 217, nos.172, 173 and 175 for similar examples in the collection of the Palace Museum.
