A CHINESE PALE CELADON JADE ARCHAISTIC VASE AND COVER
18TH CENTURY
The flattened pear-shaped body decorated with taotie masks and with lappets and key fret to the neck mounted by two archaistic phoenix handles, together with a wood stand, 19.5cm. (3)
Provenance: from the collection of Professor J Norman Collie, F R S, then purchased Sotheby's London, 9th April 1943, lot 308, and later the collection of Mr Arthur Crick (1890-1956).
