A CHINESE ARCHAIC CARVED BONE FITTING
SHANG DYNASTY

Carved from a short, straight section with a prominent median ridge, decorated to the front with a taotie mask below alternating bands of chevrons and angular scrolls, the reverse with a simple lattice pattern, the inside hollowed out and with a collection paper label 'B225', 9.3cm.
