A pair of Chinese blue and white small ovoid jars and covers Kangxi 1662-1722, each painted with a continuous scene of seated dignitaries playing weiqi with attendant boys, amidst pagodas and fenced rocky gardens, one cover decorated with a dancing boy and the other with two boys at play, 11cm. (4) Provenance: a private American collection in California, purchased from S. Marchant & Son, 19th August 1996.
